Overview

The Pricing Dashboard helps partners and pricing teams price new work by looking at how comparable past matters actually turned out. Filter the firm’s matters down to the ones that look like the work in front of you, then see what they cost, how long they took, and who worked on them.

Find Comparable Matters

Narrow the portfolio by the attributes that make matters alike:
  • Matter profile: practice group and specialty, type of matter and work, fee arrangement, stage, and status.
  • Client: client industry and whether the client is public or private.
  • Transactions: transaction type, deal value, deal status, structure, buyer type, countries involved, and key dates.
  • Litigation: jurisdiction, trial type, judge, opposing counsel, and outcome.
  • Financial ranges: hours worked, fees, production value, gross profit, and realization.

See How They Performed

For the matters you select, the dashboard shows:
  • Financials: fees worked, billed, and collected, amounts written off, gross profit and margin, realization, and leverage.
  • Portfolio ranges: where matters fall across the top 10, middle 80, and bottom 10 percent of the portfolio.
  • Staffing: the number of timekeepers per matter, the mix of hours by timekeeper type, average rates by title, and where hours came from by office and practice.
  • Duration: how long comparable matters ran.
  • Open balances: WIP and AR on the selected matters.

Drill Into a Matter

Select any matter to see its details, billing attorney, and the attorneys who worked on it. Built from: matters, clients, timesheets, invoices, receipts, write-offs, WIP, AR, timekeepers, rates, offices, and practice groups.
Transaction and litigation filters depend on the matter attributes your firm records.
