Overview

Jobs progress through different statuses during execution. Understanding these statuses helps you monitor collection health.

Understanding Job Statuses

Running Jobs

Indicators:
  • Blue “Running” status badge
  • Records count may increase as the job progresses
  • Duration timer shows how long it’s been running
What to watch:
  • Normal jobs complete in minutes to hours depending on data volume
  • If a job runs much longer than usual, investigate for:
    • Source system performance issues
    • Network connectivity problems
    • Larger-than-expected data volume

Completed Jobs

Indicators:
  • Green “Completed” status badge
  • Total records collected displayed
  • Final duration and performance metrics
What to check:
  • Record count matches expectations
  • Duration is reasonable for the data volume
  • No warnings or partial failures

Failed Jobs

Indicators:
  • Red “Failed” status badge
  • Error reason displayed (hover or click for details)
  • May show partial record count if failure occurred mid-collection
Common failure reasons:
  • Authentication errors (expired credentials)
  • Network timeouts or connectivity issues
  • Source system errors (database down, API unavailable)
  • Schema changes breaking filters or configuration
  • Insufficient permissions

Scheduled Jobs

Indicators:
  • Gray “Scheduled” status badge
  • Future scheduled time displayed
  • No execution metrics yet
What it means:
  • Job is queued to run at the scheduled time
  • If a job remains scheduled past its time, check:
    • Connection or resource is active
    • No conflicting jobs blocking execution
    • System capacity is sufficient

Review Details

The job detail view shows:
  • Execution timeline - Start time, end time, duration
  • Data metrics - Records collected, processing speed
  • Error details - Full error messages and stack traces (for failed jobs)
  • Configuration snapshot - Collection settings at time of execution
  • Resource information - Which resource was collected
