You can trigger discovery immediately when you need to:- Check for new resources right after adding them to the source
- Refresh schema after making changes in the source system
- Troubleshoot collection issues that may be schema-related
- Verify connectivity after updating credentials
Triggering Manual Discovery

Navigate to Connection Resources
Go to the Resources page for your connection

Click Discover Now
Click the Discover Now, Refresh, or Disco button (typically in the top-right corner or header)

Monitor Progress
A progress indicator shows discovery is runningDiscovery typically completes in:
- Small data sources: 10-30 seconds
- Medium data sources: 1-3 minutes
- Large data sources: 5-10 minutes

Review Results
After discovery completes, the page refreshes to show:
- Updated resource list
- New resources discovered
- Schema change notifications
- Updated “Last Discovered” timestamp
